We are excited to unveil the new update of Miracle Service, available now for download. This release features the new Technician SMS Text service, offering an upgraded and more dependable technician text messaging experience. In response to changes in mobile carriers’ policies on email-to-SMS communication, we have phased out this method in favor of a superior text messaging solution. This solution adheres to the latest regulatory opt-in requirements of mobile carriers and is powered by the trusted Twilio® messaging service.
Now send automated SMS text alerts and notifications through the Event Manager module, or on-demand messages from a Task with the enhanced Tech Messaging interface. (Text messaging is an optional feature – see pricing below).
Automated Text Alerts and Notifications:
Many events can now be set-up to send text messages, in addition to emails and on-screen alerts. *Requires the Event Manager module.
- Send text alerts like: New Task, Task Modified, New Note and many more to keep your service team up to date.
- Send to assigned technician(s) or specified technician (ex. supervisor).
- Customize messages with database keywords to automatically populate task-specific data (ex. Task Description, Scheduled Date/Time etc.)

Text Messages Sent from the Task:
We’ve updated the built-in Tech Messaging function found on the Task Maintenance screen so users can send predefined or manual standard text messages directly to the Technician. To access Tech Messaging from a Task in Miracle Service, click on the [Tech Info] button followed by [Tech Messaging].
Added enhancements include:
- More customizable default message template with new formatting and content options.
- Senders can use the default wording or free-type for one-off specific messages.
- Long messages are sent in MMS format so message content is not split into multiple texts.

Tech Messaging via Email:
Prefer to send email messages to your technicians? You can take advantage of these new Tech Messaging features. (As always, there is no charge for email messaging).
- More customizable default message template with new formatting and content options.
- Senders have the option to use the default wording or free-type for one-off specific messages directly from the Task.

To send text messages from Miracle Service via the Twilio® messaging platform, enroll in a Technician SMS Text plan at a flat rate of US$35/month for up to 500 monthly messages sent within North America.
